Steering Committee Guidelines

__IEC Steering Committee members will help the IEC Coordinator...
  • identify and contact potential speakers for IEC monthly meetings
  • draw up agendas for IEC monthly meetings
  • draft and review letters, statements, and outreach materials to be distributed on behalf of the Collaborative before input from the whole Collaborative is solicited
  • plan and organize annual IEC events such as the Legislative Luncheon, Energy Lobby Day, Green Expo exhibits, Living Energy Festival, and the annual Strategic Planning Meeting
  • shape and execute IEC campaign plans (to lobby for clean energy policy, to engage the public on Idaho energy issues, and to recruit more businesses/organizations to join the Collaborative)

IEC Steering Committee members will...
  • respond to Coordinator emails in a timely fashion
  • contribute to the above mentioned tasks as much as they are able
  • actively participate in a task force to plan at least one of the annual IEC events

The IEC Steering Committee is open for any interested, active members of the Collaborative to join that are willing to commit to upholding the Steering Committee Guidelines.  Steering Committee members are expected to be respectful and professional in their participation with the Collaborative in order to facilitate a friendly and productive work environment.  Steering Committee members that do not abide by these principles will be removed from the Steering Committee by consensus of the Committee.
